While working at one of my previous internships, we use to play a lot of Foosball. It was very common for someone to forget to add a goal using the traditional score trackers, it was also difficult to know what the exact score of the game was at a quick glance. At this time I was starting to acquire electrical components and equipment to build my own personal electronics lab at home and knew building an automatic foosball score tracker would be my first gadget to create.
The design is fairly simple; it uses an Arduino Mega 2560 (Although an Uno would have been fine as well), a 16x2 LCD display, 2 sets of IR Breakbeam sensors, a custom 3D printed case and various switches, wires, etc.
